I hear a lot about people who dislike their jobs, even if it is exactly what they want to do and what they earned their degree in. I use “earned” loosely because well, let’s face it, I’ve come across a number of people who hold well paid positions but were nothing more than that frat guy who was always wasted and skipped class to play video games and day drink.
But what about the others? Based upon the understanding that fear is a major hindering factor in accomplishing goals and pursuing passions, my question for you is this: If you are truly unhappy in your current job situation, if it brings you to tears every day just thinking about the time you are wasting when you could be investing it in yourself - in doing what you love, would you quit immediately? Would you take the risk, and follow your heart?
I realize this is not the “smart” thing to do, but I will argue the opposite. If we live in a society where time is money, why would I spend when I can invest? After all, the most important investment we can make is in the most valuable resource we have - our minds and hearts.
Risk yields reward, so what would you do?
